Balanced Life Skills is pleased to support the Junior League in this effort to provide backpacks for children in our community. Join us on Monday as we support the Junior League of Annapolis‘ Book Bag Drive.

This is the 18th year that JLA will provide 1000 kids in the Annapolis Area with their school supplies for the year. The book bags will be given to students at Georgetown East Elementary, Germantown Elementary, Tyler Heights Elementary and Eastport Elementary School.

I went with my mom & sister to help pack the backpacks today. I thought that helping kids at four different schools was a charitble and kind thing to do. I was glad I was able to do it because now I know these kids will have new supplies on their first day of school. I didn’t realize just how many kids don’t have enough money to buy their supplies and am so glad there are people willing to donate supplies and their time to make sure that they do!
Thanks to the Ballard family for helping such a worthy cause. I am so happy you were able to take part. That was good community service work.
